Scan receipts:
one photo, AI does the typing

On the DuitLedger home screen, tap Scan, then take a photo of the receipt or pick a PDF. AI reads the date, shop, amount and category. Check it, fix anything that is wrong, and tap Save Record to record the expense.

Which plan do I need?

Every plan can scan receipts. The difference is how many scans you get each month. The count resets every month.

Need more scans? Any plan can add 60 scans for RM20. They never expire and are only used after this month's scans run out. The owner buys them in the App under Settings → Plan; when scans run out, a top-up button also appears on the scan page. New accounts get 30 days of Premium, with 80 scans a month.

What can it read?

Receipts and billsPrinted receipts, handwritten bills and invoices all work.
PDFsPDF receipts or invoices from email: just pick the file.
Online shop statementsShopee, Lazada and similar statements: sales and fees are split for you.
Long receiptsTake several pages (for example the back). Several pages count as 1 scan.

Step by step

  1. Open receipt scanning

    Under Quick Actions on the home screen, tap Scan. Or tap Add Record and choose Scan Receipt.

    The page shows "Scans left this month", so you always know how many you have.

  2. Take a photo of the receipt

    Tap Take photo and snap the receipt, or tap Choose from gallery. For a long receipt, tap Add a page (back side). Then tap Recognise.

    Lay the receipt flat in good light with all four corners in the photo, and the AI reads it best.

  3. Check it and save

    When you see "Done! Please check the details below before saving.", check the amount, date, shop and category, fix anything that is wrong, and tap Save Record.

    If a record with the same date, amount and category already exists, you get a "Possible duplicate" warning, so nothing is counted twice.

Is it a supplier bill? If the AI finds items, it asks "Is this a supplier bill?". Tap Move to Stock in to update your stock and record the expense together, with no new photo and no extra scan. Stock is available from the Basic plan.

Questions

Can I scan receipts on the Free plan?

Yes, 3 scans a month on the Free plan. Basic gives 30 a month and Premium 80.

What if I run out of scans?

Add 60 scans for RM20 on any plan. They never expire and are only used after this month's scans run out. The owner buys them under Settings → Plan, or taps the top-up button on the scan page. You can also switch to Manual Entry.

What if the AI reads something wrong?

Every field can be changed before you save. The AI only fills things in for you, so take a look at the amount and date before tapping Save Record.

Can it read PDF receipts and online shop statements?

Yes. PDF receipts and invoices, and statements from Shopee, Lazada and similar shops, all work. Sales and fees on statements are split for you.

What if I scan the same receipt twice?

If a record with the same date, amount and category already exists, you get a "Possible duplicate" warning. You can cancel or choose Save anyway.

Can sub-accounts buy more scans?

No, only the owner's account can pay. When a sub-account runs out, it sees "ask the owner to top up under Settings → Plan".

Do supplier bills work the same way?

Yes. When the AI finds items it asks "Is this a supplier bill?". Tap Move to Stock in to update your stock and record the expense together, with no extra scan. Stock is available from the Basic plan.
