Are the figures exact? EPF, SOCSO and EIS are estimated from the rules and may differ from the official tables by a few sen or ringgit; the KWSP / PERKESO tables are final, and every figure can be changed. Enter PCB income tax yourself.

What goes on the payslip?

Employee detailsName, IC / passport, position, phone, EPF and SOCSO numbers, bank account; it can remember them for next time.
Employee typeLocal, foreign worker or aged 60+; each is deducted differently and worked out for you.
OvertimeBasic ÷ 26 days ÷ 8 hours × 1.5, worked out for you; you can change it.
Allowances and deductionsTransport, meals, housing, attendance, commission, bonus; advances, unpaid leave, lateness, loan repayments.

Step by step

  1. Add an expense and choose Staff Salary

    On the home screen tap Expense (or Add Record → expense), use Manual Entry, and choose the Staff Salary category. The form turns into a payslip.

    It only turns into a payslip on Premium; on other plans Staff Salary is a normal expense.

  2. Fill in the employee and pay

    Pick the employee or + New employee, choose the salary month, and fill in basic salary, overtime, allowances and deductions. EPF, SOCSO and EIS are worked out, with the employee and employer shares shown separately.

    Tick "Remember this employee for next time" and you won't have to type it again next month.

  3. Save it and send it

    Tap Save payslip, then Download payslip PDF or WhatsApp the employee.

    WhatsApp sends a short message first; download the PDF and send it to the employee. You can download it again later by opening that salary record in Records.

How is it recorded? Saving adds two Staff Salary expenses: one for the net pay, and one for the money paid to KWSP / PERKESO / LHDN (employee plus employer shares).

Can I make payslips on Free or Basic?

No, payslips are a Premium feature. You can use them during the 30-day Premium trial on new accounts.

Are EPF, SOCSO and EIS worked out for me?

Yes, by employee type (local, foreign worker, aged 60+), with the employee and employer shares shown separately. They are estimates from the rules and may differ from the official tables by a few sen or ringgit; the KWSP / PERKESO tables are final, and every figure can be changed.

Is PCB income tax worked out?

No. Enter PCB yourself and it is printed on the payslip.

What language is the payslip in?

Malay and English, both on the same PDF.

Can I make payslips on WhatsApp?

Yes. From version 1.7.8, with the WhatsApp assistant add-on, you can make payslips on WhatsApp.

Can I find old payslips?

Yes. In Records, open that Staff Salary expense to download the payslip PDF again.
